Don't entertain stupidity, no prophet has cure for coronavirus - Rev. Frimpong Manso fires.

Controversies surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic is getting increasingly flaming as President of the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council (GPCC), Rev. Prof. Paul Frimpong-Manso, has slammed some Ghanaian prophets after they indicated of having a cure for the virus. While topnotch medics are still struggling at the international levels to find a cure for the deadly coronavirus, some men of God in Ghana have been bragging about having found a remedy. The first to have made the assertion is a controversial prophet, Bishop Daniel Obinim, who recently launched a bottled oil branded ‘Coronavirus’. The said product which he claimed could repel the deadly disease was being sold for GH?200. Two Italians Prevented From Entering Ghana Because Of The Coronavirus.

Two Italian nationals who tried to enter Ghana from the epicentre of the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) were prevented from entering Ghana Monday night, [March 16, 2020]. The Minister of Information, Mr Kojo Oppong Nkrumah who disclosed this said: "Last night there were two Italians, who it was clear they were coming from the epicentre ...even though the aircraft was still in the air, we had to make arrangements at the airport to ensure that they did not get off the aircraft and they are returned to their originating destination." "So though we are yet to hit the 1 pm timeline today [Tuesday, March 17, 2020], some soft enforcement has already commenced at our ports of entry," Mr Nkrumah said. He said details of the travellers who were en route to Ghana on an Air France flight were confirmed which triggered the action to deny them entry. SAMMY GYAMFI GRANTED BAIL AFTER HOURS IN POLICE CUSTODY.

A few hours after five officials believed to be from the Bureau of National Investigations arrested the National Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress, the outspoken stalwart has been granted bail. Sammy Gyamfi was arrested while heading towards his car after participating in a television discussion on Accra-based UTV. The arrest is believed to be connected to ongoing cybercrime offences leveled against him by the Jubilee House. In December last year, the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Police Headquarters commenced investigation into a case of forgery and publication of false information targeted at tarnishing the image of the Akufo-Addo government. He subsequently filed a suit at an Accra High court asking for his arrest warrant to be overturned.

34 dead, several others injured in Cape Coast-Takoradi Highway accident.

Thirty-four people have died with many others injured in an accident that happened at 12:15 am Tuesday, on the Cape Coast-Takoradi Highway. According to the police, 29 people died on the spot while five others died at the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital. Eyewitnesses said both drivers died instantly with one of them having his body trapped in the mangled vehicle. The accident involved two Yutong buses which had a head-on collision on the Dompoase Junction near Komenda Junction. According to the police, the red Yutong bus travelling from Accra to Takoradi tried to overtake the vehicle in front of it and ended up running into the oncoming white Takoradi to Accra bound Yutong bus. The police say, they are yet to ascertain the number of passengers on the Takoradi bound car, which has been badly mangled. An Electrician found dead on ECG Low Voltage line at kpando municipality, in the voltage region.

The lifeless body of Ademi Joseph removing from the pole. An electrician was found dead on ECG pole at kpando. According to those who identify the deceased, identify him as an 33years old man of age with his name Ademi Joseph who works with a private electric contractor. According to eye withneses , said he was found dead on ECG Low voltage line at kpando in the volta region, in the attempt of replacing a Street light on Sunday. The body of the dead Ademi Joseph was subsequently removed from the pole and was despited at Margret Marquart Catholic Hospital Morgue at kpando. The incident was feathre  reported to the police for feather investigation. According to Mr Benjamin Obeng Antwi, the Volta regional ECG public Relations Officer, identify the deceased as unauthorized electrician by the district office. Statement by Zylofon Media on fire outbreak at office premises

A fire incident occurred at about 9 pm on Monday 25th November 2019 at the Zylofon Media Complex used for our television, radio and online operations. Thankfully, the incident which affected one of our two buildings, occurred in the night after most of our staff members, clients and visitors had departed the premises. We are extremely grateful to God that there were no human fatalities or casualties. While one part of the complex were damaged by the fire, the swift response of the Ghana National Fire Service, some of our staff, friends and well wishers, who all responded to the incident in diverse ways, contributed to the swift containment and extinguishing of the fire. We commend the professionalism of the GNFS and the Ghana Police Service officials and thank them for the timely and invaluable service they rendered. GUTA locks up 'foreign' retail shops at Opera Square in Accra Mr Alan Kyerematen, Minister of Trade and Industry Mr Alan Kyerematen, Minister of Trade and Industry Mr Alan Kyerematen, Minister of Trade and Industry Members of the Ghana Union of Traders Association (GUTA) on Monday stormed the Opera Square in Accra in a bid to enforce the law that prevents foreigners from engaging in retail business in Ghana. According to GUTA, they have elected to enforce the law themselves following the reluctance of the law enforcement agencies to do so. As of midday, reports suggested a total of 52 shops had been locked up. The GUTA leadership had a special lock with which they were locking the shops many of which belonged to Chinese and Nigerian nationals. The exercise was being carried out by the Electrical Association Chapter of GUTA and hence they were targetting electrical shops.
